Young Friends of PARSA Write to Afghan Orphan Children

Anoosha has facilitated the translation and correspondence for 15 orphans that are featured on the PARSA Web Journal. When she has reached her capacity for helping these children, we will enlist the help of more young Afghan high school students.

When Anoosha went in to the orphanage for the first time she was very sad about the conditions. Now when she visits once a week, the orphans are thrilled to see her and she feels as if she is providing something important in their lives. This program is as important to her as to them and we hope to start a young Afghan leadership group with this project as a starting point.

Young Afghan volunteers like Anoosha facilitate "Young Friends of PARSA." If you go to the PARSA Web Journal and click on the "March" archive you can see all the letters from the children. If you don’t have time for regular correspondence, the kids love letters from anyone - especially those of you who lived in Afghanistan before the wars. They love stories about those times.
