Allan McKenzie

Allan has been on PARSA’s Executive Committee, as of 2017. He has been involved in computers and IT for 35 years. Beginning in 2006 Allan visited Afghanistan and began working with PARSA. He set up an employee donation scheme, which for many years helped raise money to support PARSA.

Contributions have been used to support children in orphanages in Kabul, to provide them with additional schooling and additional medical care. These contributions have also been used to support the children’s hospital in Kabul, mainly by providing additional medications to the hospital staff.

  • Allan has also supported PARSA within the UK, working on the Board of Directors to increase PARSA income from within the UK.
  • Allan has also supported non-PARSA programs within the UK to help resettle Syrian refugees.
  • Allan graduated from San Diego State University with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. He worked for both private companies in the US and international organisations in Europe. Allan was involved in development and support of IT systems, as well as the acquisition, rollout and support of these systems throughout Europe over a period of more than 20 years. He also worked with NATO and had several jobs during his tenure, including Chief Architect, Chief Technology Office.
